‘Our store in Sandyford Dublin, which opened in October 2022, Will be the sixth addition to our World of Tiles family. We are particularly excited to introduce the first of our onsite 4D theatres, which will greatly enhance our customers’ decision-making process,’ says Donal Higgins, managing director and founder of World of Tiles.

‘Choosing the right tiles, taps and flooring for your space can be a stressful, never mind costly, especially if you get it wrong.

 The Virtual Worlds augmented reality (AR) visualisation suite lets our customers design their room with our products and view the end result,’ he explains.

The viewer uses a purpose-designed headset for a fully immersed experience. They can walk through the room, switch taps on and off, open cupboard and shower doors and generally get a feel of what the room will be like.  

Customer service is important to us. Besides the value added by the AR experience, all our staff are trained to assist customers with planning their projects, from calculating measurements and quantities to helping with design ideas and fit-for-purpose products.

‘Introducing the AR theatre at our Sandyford store dovetails with our mission, which is to help our customers create spaces they will love, whether it’s a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or garden,’ Higgins says.
